Summary

Looking for a seasonal position that gives you the chance to work outside, with people and live music? The Hideaway Brew Garden in Hoffman Estates is looking for Managers to help manage the property.
 

The Hideaway Brew Garden is an outdoor bar/venue in Hoffman Estates that provides live music and entertainment to the local community over the summer months.  
 

The Manager on Duty will assure that the property is clean and ready prior to opening, makes sure all AV equipment is set and running, manages staff working, assures all groups are checked in with the assistance of a hostess, manages the property while people are onsite reassuring they are following all guidelines, and closes the property at the end of the night.
 

We will be open Thursday-Sunday, from May until October 2023. Shift hours will take place Thursday-Sunday evenings. Shift hours may adjust based on events/weather/etc. At minimum, candidates will work 4+ shifts per month.

Hours

  • Part time position, Thursday through Sunday, Evenings

  • Seasonal: May- October 2023

Responsibilities

  • Have operational knowledge of the facility, its layout and event specific details for the night.

  • Responsible for managing a variety of staff, including cleaning, hostesses, and artists performing during their shift.

  • Assume all responsibilities as the Manager of the Hideaway Brew Garden (HBG) when assigned to a MOD shift.

  • Responsible for opening and closing the Hideaway Brew Garden property.

  • Assist as needed with hostess responsibilities, such as using Bookeo platform for group rental check-in.

  • Reachable during their shift to respond immediately to calls.

  • Will need to be aware of emergency procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years or older.

  • Restaurant experience or managerial experience is preferred.

  • Availability to work as needed on weekends, nights, holidays and outside.

  • Strong problem- solving and customer service skills

  • Ability to communicate calmly and effectively to successfully defuse tense situations.

  • Must have the physical ability to stand for long periods of time and carry heavy items.
